As we approach the end of 2025, Maidstone Community Safety Unit would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your continued support throughout the year. We wish you and your loved ones a safe, peaceful, and joyful festive season, and a Happy New Year filled with health and happiness.

This time of year means different things to different people. Whether you’re celebrating Christmas, another special occasion, or simply enjoying time with family and friends, we hope it’s a positive and memorable time for you.

While we all enjoy the festivities, please keep these important safety tips in mind:

~ Home Security: If you’re travelling or visiting family, make sure doors and windows are locked and consider using timers for lights to give the impression someone is home.

~ Online Safety: Be cautious when shopping online - stick to trusted websites and avoid sharing unnecessary personal details.

~ Road Safety: If you’re drinking, plan ahead. Never drive under the influence - arrange a taxi or a designated driver.

~ Look Out for Others: Check in on elderly or vulnerable neighbours who may feel isolated during this period. A simple hello can make a big difference.

~Protect Your Presents: Keep gifts out of sight from windows and avoid posting expensive items on social media.
